Klamath River, Pacific Ocean and the Redwood Forest Adventure

At least once in your lifetime, you need to visit the magnificent coastal redwoods! When you explore, whether hiking or a drive, soak up the silence and grandeur of forests unlike any others in the world.

Our visit started on the Klamath River, setting up camp so close to the river you could feel it’s power and tranquility. We then set out just 2 miles down the road where the river met the Pacific Ocean to find an active eco system of the in and out going tides, seals, sea lions, whales, eels, eagles and more. It is an adventure that you’ll never forget. We were literally 5 yards from a wild sea lion and 30 yards from a massive whale.

From the coastline, we made our way into the massive redwood forest. You cannot grasp the height from photos and words will not do this justice. So, plan your next visit to the redwood forest to experience this adventure with your own eyes.

I was born and raised in Florida in a family that loves to boat, fish and enjoy the hot humid weather of the Florida coast! I came to know the truths of the Bible and committed my life to faith in Jesus Christ while in the Marine Corps. I had the amazing opportunity to be baptized in the Jordan River while visiting Israel in 1995. After my honorable discharge from the Marines, I made my way to Colorado to enjoy the mountains, four seasons and cooler dry weather. I love to travel and have had the great opportunity to explore all 50 states and over 30 countries. With many means of travel, I have to say that living in an RV for nearly 2 years with my family of 6 is quite the adventure.
