There are many scenic locations and tourists attractions within the United States of America. Mount Rushmore is one of them and located in South Dakota. The mountain is unique and distinct because it is not only a source of tourist attraction that adds up to the beauty of America but it also brings you close to the political history of America. The mountain entails a massive sculpture that is carved. It took 14 years to carve the sculptures. Each sculpture represents the four former president of America who played a pivotal role in shaping America as the most powerful country in the world.

The four presidents carved into the mountain includes: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt. At least 2.5 million tourists visit the mountain each year. It helps people learn about the most important political figures that America had. For example; George Washington was the first American president who laid down the foundation of American democracy.

There are several restaurants and shops nearby where the tourists can spend the time. There is a huge gate at the entrance of the mountain that has a total of 56 flags. 50 flags out of the 56 represents the 50 states that exist within the United States of America whereas 1 flag represents the district and 2 are considered to represent the commonwealth states. The last three are placed to represent the total number of territories within America.

The grand view terrace that is near the mountain offers a spectacular view of the entire location. It is a perfect spot to hang out and take a lot of pictures to create everlasting memories.
